Instructor training is one of the major things that makes the Redirecting Children's Behavior course so powerful. RCB is not just a "how to" course that can be taught by following a manual. Our instructors learn how to read people's intentions, ask the kind of questions that get to the real issues, create safety for the parents in their classes and motivate the parents to change. They need to have the courage to be imperfect so they can model that for their students and they must be willing to take responsibility for really changing peoples lives for the better.
The training is an intensive 4 day program with follow up support. Teaching RCB is incredibly rewarding and a wonderful way to be of great service and create income at the same time. It is also the best way I know of to keep using the principles in your own life. Many have said that the training alone is very valuable even if one doesn't plan to teach because it gives a much deeper understanding of the concepts.
The following quote from Barbara Sher describes how I feel about teaching RCB!
"The first step is to find out what you love -- and don't be practical about it. The second step is to start doing what you love immediately, in any small way possible. I've seen what happens to people when they get to do what they love. They light up. They glow. They have the kind of energy that's wonderful!"
The next Austin area training will be Summer, 2008.
