Daytime, Evening and Weekend Ssessions available!

Many ask what the difference is between therapy (or counseling) and coaching. Perhaps the following will help make it clear:
Therapy assumes dysfunction or illness which requires healing.
Coaching assumes the client is healthy and just needs better skills.

Therapy has its roots in medicine and psychiatry.
Coaching is rooted in sports, business and personal growth.

Therapy works to help people understand themselves and heal emotionally.
Coaching helps people to learn to function better.

Therapy focuses mainly on the past and feelings.
Coaching focuses on actions and future. The only reason for looking into the past is for better understanding of how it affects the present and providing an opportunity to make more effective decisions.

Therapy works with the unconscious mind.
Coaching works with the conscious mind.

Therapy works for resolution of pain and old patterns.
Coaching works for solutions, learning new skills and making effective choices.

Comments from former clients:

"Tammy's no-nonsense, non-judgemental approach helped us see how we each contributed to create the situation that we were in. She showed us we had the power to change it and create the relationship both of us wanted. Without her guidance, courage and tenacity we'd probably already be divorced and ready to make the same mistakes with new partners."

"I fell head over heels in love with my wife all over again in Tammy's office!"

"She'll make you mad, she'll make you cry & she may even make you yell! But if you really want to make your marriage work, Tammy can teach you how!"

"Neither of us really wanted it, but our marriage seemed over. My husband had moved out and I had already filed for a divorce. With Tammy's gudiance we were able to work though our problems. My husband eventually came back home and now 3 years later we are happier than ever with a beautiful new baby".

"I was already in love with another man, so our marriage was over. But, Tammy helped us deal with a lot of our anger, fear and distrust and then she taught us how to be wonderful co-parents to our children. We still disagree sometimes, but we do it with a lot more respect and kindness."

"Even though we both knew we'd found our perfect mate, we were so afraid of getting hurt again that we took turns running away from the commitment of marriage. We just ended up hurting each other over and over again. Tammy helped us see that we really wanted to be together, taught us how to stay when we wanted to run and feel when we wanted to numb out. We are now happily married with a wonderful little family. It was work, but definitely worth it! "
